Get to Know the Chevrolet Corvette

You'll be hard pressed to find a vehicle more representative of American performance than the Chevrolet Corvette. For more than six decades and through several generations, the Corvette has offered up a popular blend of performance and style. Now in its seventh generation, the Corvette continues to turn heads with sleek looks and rumbling power alike.

Performance

The Corvette Stingray is designed inside and out to deliver elite performance. The heart of that performance lies in the standard 6.2-liter V8 engine. The small block engine produces a list of impressive numbers: 460 horsepower, 465 pound-feet of torque, and zero to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Power transfers through one of two available gear boxes. The first is a seven-speed manual with Active Rev Matching -- the second is an eight-speed paddle-shift automatic.

Chevy also equipped the Corvette Stingray with robust handling and braking features to help rein in the power under the hood. Standard Brembo brakes offer excellent stopping capability while Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on all four corners keep the Corvette planted. The Corvette Stingray also offers a range of selectable drive modes to help specify performance parameters for different occasions.

Features

The Corvette Stingray is a premier performance car, but that doesn't its passengers have to go without. Interior features range of practical to premium, offering a variety of amenities to accommodate driver and passenger needs. Available heated and ventilated seats wrapped in optional Napa leather work with dual-zone climate control and more to provide upscale comfort. Premium materials like suede leather, carbon fiber, and aluminum adorn trim pieces throughout the cockpit. A range of technology features like Apple CarPlay, heads up display, and more provide connectivity capabilities.

Trims and Packages

The new Corvette Stingray isn't a one-size-fits-all sports car. A variety of trim levels and performance packages mean you can have your Corvette exactly how you want it.

  • Camaro Stingray 1LT: The standard trim level for the Corvette comes with the lowest price tag, but still offers great features like a Bose audio system, Drive Mode Selector, and more.

  • Camaro Stingray 2LT: Several aesthetic upgrades come with the 2LT trim, including matching colors for the console, instrument panel, and door panels. Heated and ventilated seats are included, along with the Head-Up display.

  • Camaro Stingray 3LT: The 3LT trim takes the Corvette into premium luxury territory with Napa leather seats, custom leather-wrapped interior package, and more. Plus, the performance data recorder can help you track your stats over time.

  • Camaro Stingray Corvette Grand Sport: This package is a popular choice for drivers looking for improved performance. The Corvette Grand Sport keeps the standard 460-horsepower LT1 V8 of the Corvette Stingray, but adds many of the aerodynamics and handling features of the Corvette Z06.

  • Camaro Stingray Corvette Z06: The Corvette Z06 hones and sharpens performance throughout. The most substantial upgrade is in the engine bay, where a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 produces an astonishing 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

  • Camaro Stingray ZR1: If you're looking for the fastest, most expensive Corvette available, you'll find it in the ZR1. Chevy completely revamped the Corvette's aerodynamics for the ZR1 and dropped a new LT5 supercharged V8 with 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque under the hood.
