What's New for 2021?
The new Chevy Blazer comes with several updates. Among them is the Safety Assist Package, which includes the following features:
- Automated emergency brakes
- Automated high beams
- Lane-Keep Assist
- Front animal and pedestrian detection
The above features come standard in RS, 2LT, and 3LT trim models. Blazer trims with V6 come equipped with a trailering package. The latter allows this engine to tow up to 4500 pounds. Also, a set of new colors join the 2021 Lineup. They include: Cayene Orange, Pewter, and Cherry Red.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2021 Blazer features three power trains from which to choose. The entry-level engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder. It generates 193 horsepower and a torque of 188 lb-ft. The engine is available with FWD (front-wheel drive) only. Its fuel economy is estimated at 21 mpg/27 mpg on the city/highway.
The 2L turbo comes standard on 2LT and 3LT trim models. This engine produces 227 horses and 258 lb-ft of torque. It features an FWD (front-wheel drive) or optional AWD. The 2L turbo also earns 22 mpg/29 mpg (FWD) and 22/mpg/27mpg (AWD).
The 3.6 V6 comes standard on RS and Premier models. On 2LT and 3LT trims, the engine is optional. It pumps out 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. Its fuel economy estimates at 20/27 mpg on the front-wheel drive. On all-wheel drive, the engine earns19/26 mpg on the city/highway.
All the powertrains use a nine-speed automatic. Also, each engine has a power-saving start/stop function. Grille shutters (active) also come standard.
Exterior Design
The 2021 Blazer comes in a bold and sophisticated design. It features blacked out-A-and C-pillars. These pillars plus the striking body lines give the Blazer a tasty aesthetic. On the upper trims, you will get 20-inch wheels and nice chrome accents. Also, the Blazer features a variety of exterior colors from which to choose:

The new Chevy models have a two-row/five-passenger layout. Its cabin is quite roomy, with both enough headroom and legroom. There are also several storage cubbies for small items. For instance, the ledges on the door panels can hold your phone and keys. The center console has also got a decent cubby. The cargo space measures 30.5 cubic feet. However, you can fold the backbench to increase this space to 64.2 cubes.
All trim models have an easy to use eight-inch touchscreen. Beneath the screen are control buttons. Other coolest features in the 2021 Blazer are the climate vents. These features work to change the temperature conditions in the car. Thus, if you are from Morton, this car suits you better.
